Boulbonne Abbey is a former Cistercian abbey.

Founded in Mazères in the 12th century, then destroyed during the Wars of Religion, the abbey was rebuilt in Cintegabelle from the 17th century onwards.

Boulbonne Abbey was featured in the encyclopedia Gallia Christiana from 1785 as ".very flourishing and almost the most prestigious of all the monasteries of Occitania."

After the revolutionary period, the abbey retained a third of its imposing structure. And since 1842, Boulbonne Abbey has been maintained by the Moulas family, under the supervision of the Historic Monuments authorities.
