In 1969, the former Boulbonne Abbey hosted a performance of Eugène Labiche's comedy, *La Poudre aux yeux* (Smoke and Mirrors). The play was performed within the abbey itself, with a set erected in the upstairs corridor, in front of the former Abbot's room. Anthelme Collet, or the gentleman brigand

In 1980, Boulbonne Abbey appeared as a setting in the television series Anthelme Collet, or the Gentleman Brigand. Several sequences filmed in Boulbonne attest to the site's use as an audiovisual backdrop. These archive images now allow us to rediscover certain spaces of the former abbey as they appeared on screen at that time.
